It’s made for those who never quit, whether you’re cooling down after a workout or layering up for an early morning run. This piece takes the relentless work ethic of the greats and brings it into your everyday.
Crafted from heavyweight 100% organic cotton loopback fleece, the Warm Down Hoodie is made to endure the hardest workouts and the longest days. Ribbed cuffs and hem, raglan sleeves, and stitched elbow patches are built for comfort and durability, while the ribbed V-insert at the neck gives a classic athletic finish. Every detail, from the felt embroidered badge to the silicone-dipped drawcord, is designed to last, ageing with character as you do.

The origins of the "Warm Down" hoodie, or similar garments, date back to the mid-20th century, when athletes and sportsmen began focusing more on post-exercise recovery. Traditionally, athletic wear was geared only towards competition, but as training methods advanced, so did the recognition of the importance of recovery periods. After workouts or games, athletes began to adopt the practice of warming down—using gentler exercises to help the body gradually return to a resting state. Hooded sweatshirts, often made from heavyweight cotton, became ideal for this purpose because they retained warmth while allowing for mobility and breathability.
The practice of wearing these types of garments post-workout can be traced back to American sports culture, especially in boxing and athletics. In the 1960s and '70s, boxers like Muhammad Ali, and fictional characters such as Rocky Balboa, popularised the image of athletes layering up in hoodies after rigorous training sessions. The thick fabric offered insulation for muscles, which was crucial to help prevent injuries, maintain body temperature, and aid in the muscle recovery process.
