INTRODUCING

Introducing our newest colourway for the iconic Port Shawl Neck Jumper, now available in Dune. A warm, earthy tan inspired by rugged landscapes and timeless style. This shawl collar knit balances classic appeal with practical design, featuring a toggle fastening at the neckline for adjustable warmth and style. Wear it open for a relaxed look or fasten the toggle to keep out the chill.

Crafted from a soft, responsibly sourced blend of wool this 5-gauge knit combines warmth with comfort. The cardigan rib stitch adds depth and texture, while purl-stitched elbow patches offer both durability and style, and a 2x2 ribbed cuff and hem finish off the look with structure and fit.

Pair this traditional knit with our Raw Elder Henley and Charcoal Brandon Jeans, and add leather accessories like a classic belt and Drover boots for a look that’s both rugged and refined. Keep in mind that the natural yarn characteristics may lead to some pilling, enhancing its lived-in look over time. The Port Shawl Neck in Dune is a timeless staple you’ll reach for season after season.

ORIGINS

It is said that an established military head, Lieutenant General, wanted an elegant knit that he could put on without ruining his perfectly styled hair. Whilst we love a good legend, it’s more likely that the shawl collar was actually inspired by the old Victorian smoking jackets. The exact dates of the first creation are unknown but it was likely around the 1920s.
