INTRODUCING

Inspired by the enduring spirit of these Cornish seafarers, the Ahab Submariner in Moss Green emerges as a testament to timeless resilience and style.

This knit is crafted from a blend of 50% wool, ensuring a garment that is soft to the touch, breathable, and capable of retaining warmth without the scratchiness of traditional wool. The single jersey stitch body, knitted in a 5gg gauge, offers a substantial yet comfortable fit that layers seamlessly with other essentials.

The standout feature of the Ahab Submariner is its versatile button-through polo-neck. Worn open, it exudes a relaxed silhouette, while fastening the buttons transforms it into a roll-neck style, providing an extra layer of defence against the biting wind. This dual-function neckline, paired with classic details, adds both functionality and sophistication to your wardrobe.

Please note that, due to the nature of the yarn, slight pilling may occur over time and can be easily managed with a knitwear comb, preserving the Ahab Submariner’s refined appearance for seasons to come.

ORIGINS

When designing this jumper, Phil was hugely inspired by Captain Ahab, the fictional character and one of the main protagonists in Herman Melville's “Moby Dick”. The neurotic captain of the whaling ship and the traditional jumpers worn by the tough and rugged Cornish fisherman made the perfect springboard for our very own Ahab Submariner.
