Bowling shirts began with the bowling boom that took place in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s.Â
It has been adopted as a uniform for all bowling corporate teams and student clubs since. The biggest feature is the name on the front and the team's name, region, and other meaningful embroidery and patches on the back.
